Although we were from Avanos, we did not visit Cappadocia as we visited other countries and cities… Finally, last Republic Day, Mete, my mother, father and I planned a short one-day trip. We set off from Kayseri after breakfast as planned and used the old Kayseri-Nevsehir road to go at the suggestion of my father. That’s how we had the opportunity to look at goreme valley on the road, but we didn’t see the famous balloons as we expected.

Then our first stop was Urgup, first we drove around in the city and then went to yunak neighborhood, where the famous Asmali Mansion (used for the series, not the truth, was used for the series). After buying from the small market and nevşehir’s famous milky pumpkin beans, we toured the tourist stores.

Then we went to see yunak houses where we heard his reputation but couldn’t go before. With authentic rooms carved into the rocks, the hotel has certainly been a good accommodation alternative for Urgup. (http://www.yunak.com )

Then we took to the alleys to find the House of Angels, which I just heard of opening. The architect couple (and their dogs) who said they had moved from Istanbul in front of the boutique hotel welcomed us and toured their hotel in detail. I loved the hotel with both its architecture and decoration. Especially to go with a group of crowded friends. (http://www.meleklerevi.com.tr

As we left the urgup, we stopped by turasan ‘s (http://www.turasan.com.tr/) store on our way and took a warm wine mixture consisting of a few bottles of wine and dried fruit and spices and then set off to Uçhisar with the intention of seeing the castle.

At the entrance of Uçhisar, after taking a few pictures of the place where we were unable to resist the view of Pigeon Valley, we started to climb together by targeting the flag at the top of the Castle. The view of the fairy chimney in the castle was really worth seeing…

When we went down from the castle again, we toured the touristic small market and took a small tour of Uçhisar after taking from the dessert made from the molasses and starch made of starch, which reminded my mother about his childhood.
We set out again to return to Kayseri. We went to Dimrit Cafe (http://www.dimrit.com) to eat Test Kebab in Urgup on our way back and returned home tired and happy after sunbathing on fairy chimneys while eating our food outdoors.    We did not include Avanos on our route this time because we often went… But our next visit to Cappadocia will be there and we will visit Avanos again with a different eye… We will not return until we cross the famous wooden bridge on the redtening, without sipping our tea on the rabbit’s blood by the river and touring the shops that sell pottery…
